Wedgwood, Ferrara Salad / Vegetable bowl

Beautiful deep cobalt blue and white transfer print.

The decoration of castles/fort, ships in harbour  around the outside of bowl are a bit of poetic license calling the design “Ferrara”.  The “harbour scene” is repeated on inside of bowl together with deep floral band on inside upper rim

Date 1891 to 1909

Measures: 8 1/2 cms. high,  20cms. diameter

Marks: Faint Impressed Wedgwood,

Blue underglaze marks ”FERRARA; ETRURIA ENGLAND; and WEDGWOOD.

Condition: Very good, commensurate to age.

No chips, cracks or repairs.  Some imperfections in manufacture prior to firing, as usual in these pieces’
